Rising Canadian pop star Kay has something big and important to celebrate this week. Today, she released her very first EP on iTunes in Canada that will finally introduce her sweet and crunchy pop goodness to more people. It's about time! And with gorgeous cover art like that it will be easy to fall head over heels in love with her. Kay's irresistible.
A little birdie told me that big things for Kay will be unleashed in the U.S. very soon as well so stay tuned to this blog for all the lastest greatest about Kay.
The "My Name Is Kay/M.A.J.O.R" EP includes the single edit of "My Name Is Kay" (written by Evan Bogart and Ryan Tedder of One Republic) plus the original version of "M.A.J.O.R" that was produced by our pal Dr Rosen Rosen. That track premiered right here on ArjanWrites.com back in November 2010.
The EP also features some excellent remixes including Frankmusik's Lost The Damn Gameboy Remix of "My Name Is Kay," plus remixes of "M.A.J.O.R" by Gunslinger, Junior Sanchez and Tiesto.
Check out Tiesto's remix of the song in the player below. The Dutch soundboard maestro turns Kay's poppin' original into a hard-pulsing dancefloor stomper with a trancy touch that hits nicely around the 3:35 minute mark after a frentic build. It's a nice way for Tiesto to return the favor after Kay contributed vocals to his "Work Hard, Play Hard" single last year. (Download EP)
