Last year Community Business launched their Hong Kong LGBT Inclusion Awards and their Asia LGBT Inclusion Index.
The non-profit advocacy group celebrites inclusion and diversity and highlights Hong Kong’s most gay friendly businesses. Awards are given to organisations and individuals.
Goldman Sachs received the Top Employer for LGBT Inclusion Award in 2015, ranking number one in terms of its performance with regard to LGBT diversity and inclusion.
This year the they have recruited the current Mr Gay World to help promote the event and encourage nominations.
The deadline for nominations in February 26 and the winners will be announced at the gala dinner on May 17.
This year will see a number of new categories that allow more individuals and businesses to be recognised for their works.
'The banking sector has had a head start and is already doing well. They dominated the Hong Kong LGBT Workplace Inclusion Index last year. We very much want the awards to be inclusive of all companies and industries and nominations will be assessed on the extent to which they are strategic, proactive, impactful and sustainable, regardless of the size of the company or the level of financial and other resources that have been put in,’ Mrs. Fern Ngai, CEO of Community Business, told Gay Star Business.
