After scaring the whole world with the spooky blockbuster Shutter (2004), Thai horror maestros Banjong Pisanthanakun and Parkpoom Wongpoom return with another terrific chiller, Alone.
The story centres on a beautiful woman Pim (played by German-Thai popstar Marsha Wathanapanitch) who is haunted by her Siamese twin sister who died years ago during the operation to separate them. Seeing her footprints and feeling her presence everywhere, Pim confides in her boyfriend Wee (Withaya Wasukraipaisan). But when he starts to snoop around, he discovers a lot more than what he bargained for...
Like Shutter, Alone is a superbly-made horror film with all the requisite spooks and scares. Directors Banjong Pisanthanakun and Parkpoom Wongpoom have really mastered the art of blending sound and sight, to elicit the biggest shocks and jolts from the audience.
We were thoroughly scared by this movie. Horror hounds, don't miss it!
