Sam Sparro goes positively nostalgic on his much-anticipated new single "Pink Cloud" that explores the soulful, stomping sounds of "Chicago house, Hi-NRG and unabashed soulful dance music." The track is taken from his forthcoming sophomore album "Return To Paradise" that he co-produced with long-time collaborator Jesse Rogg.
A free download of the song will be available on Sam's web site tomorrow. Remixes by Nguzu Nguzu, Julian Brody and St Le Roq are available for free download as well.
"I wanted to something purely artists before the album's release as a tribute to artists I loved arists like Masters at Work, Black Box, Maurice Fulton, and Todd Terry," Sparro explains in a press release. "The song is a tribute to the house music I grew up with. It's the first time I've released a single where I'm not the featured vocalist.
The song comes along with a visually-stunning video that was directed by Franc Fernandez who is mostly known for designing Lady Gaga's meat dress.
