UpTill is the musical teaming of childhood pals and Detroit homeboys Steven Siegel and Zack Bobowski who have been working together for the past year to carve out their own unique niche on the wide dance-pop spectrum.
Late last year, I premiered their original tune "Please Don't Leave Me" that gave us a first taste of their lush and expertly produced dance-pop sound. Over the past few months, the two soccer-loving and football-playing college students have spent their summer break in Atlanta to toy around with different sounds and production techniques to craft a sound of their own.
The result of their experimentation is a slew of remixes, DJ sets and raw originals that they have shared on SoundCloud. The influential Fear of Tigers podcast caught wind of the rising duo and featured UpTill earlier this summer in an exclusive program.
One of Uptill's newest productions is an excellent mash up that seamlessly fuses Adele's monster tune "Rolling In The Deep" with Alesso's remix of "Pressure" by Alex Kenji, Starkillers and Nadia Ali. Combining Adele's powerful vocals with the mind-altering dance floor qualities of Alesso's remix is pure dance-pop fire that firmly puts UpTill on the map as a very promising new duo to keep your eye on.
If you're ever out and about in Atlanta, make sure to catch UpTill spin at W Hotel's weekly Friday night party and at Club Opera. Listen and grab Uptill's Adele vs Alesso's "Rolling In The Pressure" mash up after the break. Share your thoughts in the new Comments section.
