Justice are French electro duo Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Aug�. The two met three years in Paris where Xavier was studying graphic design and Gaspard designed flyers. They decided to start making music together and one of their first concoctions ended up in the hands of Pedro Winter, the manager of Daft Punk and founder of Ed Banger Records.

Winter decided to release their remix of Simian' "Never Be Alone" on his label. The track was eventually given a commercial release in the U.K in the summer of 2006, under the title "We Are Your Friends" on Ten Records, a sub-label of Virgin Records. It was the video for that mix that was crowned Best Video by viewers of MTV Europe.
