Following the release of "I Love You," "Headlock" is another good example of his Esser's left-field pop experimentations. The song is a quirky and totally fun tune that combines the singer's indie sensibilities with a distinct pop flavor.

Music industry veterans are catching on this newbie as well. Esser has been working with Gnarls Barkley's Cee-Lo on material for his new record.
