Lamacq also inquires about Chaplin's state of mind during the making of their 2006 album "Under The Iron Sea," and his stint in rehab that threw off the promotional activities for the album and a tour cancellation in the States. Chaplin discusses openly how difficult that time was and how badly it affected the dynamics of group.
Things are a lot different now. With a fresh new haircut and positive outlook on life, Chaplin explains that "Spiralling" is a good example of the new, revitalized Keane that is bringing back the "fun and exuberance" that marked the band's early days.
