Beverly Hills Chihuahua may look and sound like a dumb movie, but when you're seated and watching it, you can't… help… but… enjoy… it… aaargh…

Drew Barrymore is the voice of the ditzy Chihuahua named Chloe who lives in the posh 90120 neighborhood, travels in only Louis Vuitton bags, and wears Harry Winston collars. She's got sequined pillbox hats, designer boots and ultra-chic spectacles that even humans wouldn't mind donning.

Her biggest admirer is the Mexican gardener's dog, a scrappy Chihuahua named Papi (George Lopez) who's too poor and rugged to get her attention. However, when Chloe accidentally gets lost in Mexico and captured by a dog-fighting ring, she learns about the true value of friendship and humility.

Sure, you don't need a high IQ for this. But a moderate sense of humor is more than enough to help you enjoy. Directed by Raja Gosnell (responsible for the awful Scooby Doo movies), Beverly HillsChihuahua is often silly and sweet, corny and cute, annoying and appealing all at the same time.

For one of those days when you just want a dumb movie.
