We're on the countdown to the year-end holidays of Christmas, Winter Solstice, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa, but that's not going to stop us indulging in our love for... monster movies!

Our pick of the week is Hotel Transylvania, an animation about an ordinary teenage human who falls heads over heels in love with a vampire who happens to be the daughter of Count Dracula. And the count does not like humans. At all. Like other animated horror features this year, this a tale about tolerance and overcoming prejudices is watch with your nieces and nephews.

Silent Hill: Revelation serves up more outright horror and gore for fans of the video game and comic book series. The film brings back iconic monsters and locations from the video game in a series of vivid hallucinations experienced by Heather (the survivor of the previous film) that entice her to return to the cursed, demon-infested town of Silent Hill.
