[NEW] Listen To Kids At Midnight "Let It Slide"

Melbourne-based duo Kids At Midnight like to describe their music as "a bit dorky cute" which is a pretty good description for the group's effervescent, sweetly-tinged synth-pop that is filled melancholoy.

Listen for example to "Let You Slide," the title track from their brand-new double A-side EP that will be released via Vulture Music in the U.S. this week.

The Australian duo is the teaming of Jane Elizabeth Hanley and Richard Payne who first started collaborating together on music in 2007. Over the past five years, the two have figured out a perfect way to work together with Jane composing hooky toplines while Richard focuses on arranging retro-styled synth textures to bring the songs' emotive undertones to live.

The group's music can stir all kinds of different emotions. Jane and Richard explain, "It's a bit electronic, it's a bit pop, it's a bit dorky cute, it's a bit neon, but at the same time there is a realness in there. Just because we love synth doesn't mean the songs have to sound fake. We had one guy say it made him want to take his pants off and dance - that is kinda cool." (Pre-order "Let It Slide" from Kids At Midnight on iTunes.)
