Held on December 25, Snowball 04 will be held at the Warehouse, a newly refurbished godown with a sexy underground feel, with Singapore DJ Godwin P (Go@Dbl-O and Centro Sundays) and Barry Harris, one of the most sought after DJs on the US circuit.
Situated right on the Singapore River, the Warehouse which used to be a disused cavernous building will be transformed into a dazzling palace of heart-stopping sound and spectacular light and laser design by Australian Craig Burridge who was notably responsible for Nation.04 as well as some of the most memorable lighting designs at the Sydney Mardi Gras and the renown Frisky recovery parties in Sydney in the past years.
Godwin P, who is said to be one of the best DJs in Singapore, according to
Juice magazine 2003, will open for Barry Harris on December 25. The former resident of the now-defunct Centro club had spun at Essential NYE 2002 in Singapore, the Winter Music Conference in Miami in 2002 and alongside the best in the music industry - DJs Dave Seaman, Darren Emmerson, has breathed and lived the music and dance culture of the local clubbing industry for the past 14 years. He is reputedly skilled in reading the crowd and knowing exactly what it takes to take the clubber to yet another level of music high with his "tough, chuggy and bouncy" tunes.
Breaking into the international music scene with 1980s dance duo Kon Kan with the international top dance hit, "I Beg Your Pardon," he later joined long-time DJ/producer/friend Chris Cox in 1998 to form the mega-successful Thunderpuss remix team with. The duo scored over thirty number one Billboard club hits and had done remixes and productions for Madonna, Cher, Whitney Houston, Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Enrique Iglesias among others.
The Canadian musician and DJ, remixer, and producer has DJ'ed at some of the most prestigious clubs around the world including Twilo, Roxy and Exit in New York City along with Arc and the Sleaze Ball Party in Australia to name a few; and continues to tour extensively across the US.
Closing the weekend is Jake Kilby who is back in town for his third Snowball/ Meltdown party at China Black on December 26. The hot favourite Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras veteran and 3-time winner of the Sydney Most Popular DJ Award has also played at the Farewell Party for the 2002 Sydney Gay Games and other parties in Melbourne and Brisbane and in 2002 released the 2002 Mardi Gras Party Anthems CD.
