The venue, which was sponsored by Dr Stanley Ho, was decorated and transformed by title sponsor, Shanghai Tang, to recreate the mythical Mongolian Kingdom of Xanadu and the sensual Pleasure Dome.

Guests evening included Mr Andrew Yuen and Mrs Yvette Yuen, Mr Lawrence Ho and Mrs Sharen Ho, Dr Stanley Ho, Ms Mira Yeh, Ms Abbie Chan and Ms Dee Poon.

The event also featured a special guest appearance by singer, and UNAIDS YouthAIDS ambassador for Asia, CoCo Lee who received a generous donation of HK$100,000 from the MAC AIDS Foundation on behalf of the charity.

An innovative component of the event was the Treasure Hunters silent auction, which had the tables competing as tribes to horde the most treasure and raise additional much-needed funds.

The funds will be used to maintain AIDS CONCERN's core work and programmes, delivering AIDS prevention programmes for vulnerable groups and support services for people living with AIDS (PHAs) and their families.

The charity also runs an outreach prevention programme targeting out-of-school youth.

After feasting their senses in Xanadu, gala dinner guests entered an exotic party scene at the Pleasure Dome, where they enjoyed spectacular and energetic dance shows produced by House of Siren, and uplifting beats from DJs Yeodie and Nathan G (from Melbourne).
