Indeed, the White Party Bangkok is expected to attract more than 15,000 visitors from all over the world, including many from our Community in China.
We see this as an extremely positive development in recognising the value of the LGBT Consumer, which in turn can supports LGBT Equality. Evidencing this, according to estimates for 2018 from LGBT Capital [ insert hyperlink on “LGBT Capital” to www.lgbt-capital.com ], LGBT Inbound International Tourism revenue for Thailand equates to THB 174 billion, well in excess of 1% of Thailand’s total Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
Last year, the White Party Bangkok (WPBKK) had over 14,000 people from 50+ countries attending the 4-day festival, making WPBKK the largest gay New Year Festival in all of Asia - and one of the biggest in the world! The WPBKK 2018 was also the winner of 'CircuitX Party of the Year 2018' beating out some of the world's most well-known gay dance festivals, such as Circuit Barcelona, Tel Aviv Pride, Mardi Gras Sydney – and making Bangkok the ‘go to' gay destination this New Year!
