Last month, Artymove independently released their new album "Bones" on iTunes worldwide.
"It took a while to put this song together," Peter tells Arjan. "I think we have at least five different versions. We weren't satisfied until one day I tried to double the tempo of the beat. Suddenly, it became clear that this was meant to be a more dance-oriented track. This also seemed to accompany the lyrics better."
The song was inspired by the idea of keeping a brave face while coping with a break up. "Almost everyone knows the feeling of getting your heart broken. But somehow you're able to cope and go on as usual, just as if nothing has happened," Peter tells me. "Many people are hiding their true feelings. It's easy to go out clubbing every weekend and put on a happy smile. But when you're alone the sadness comes upon you. Hopefully the song doesn't make you even more depressed - on the contrary, it's meant to make you feel a little bit stronger."
Make sure to also watch the video of "Say No More" that was director by the Naslund Brothers.
Other "Bones" tracks you should hear are the lush "Safe and Sound," the very eerie "Who Are You Ugly Stranger?" and "The Dice" that invokes memories of Frou Frou. A big thank you to Mathila and Peter for allowing me to share this track. Tack så hemskt! (Click HERE to purchase Artymove's "Bones" on iTunes.)
