The raunchy 2002 Korean teen comedy Sex is Zero was such a hit, a sequel was surely in order. Likeable actor Im Chang-Jeong reprises his role as sweet-natured law student who still can't get sex hence, the title despite having a real beaut of a girlfriend (Song Ji-Hyo).
It doesn't help that practically everyone around him is either doing it or talking about it, making Chang-Jeong even more desperate tries to consummate their relationship. All manner of mischief and mayhem ensues...
This hit franchise has become the Korean version of American Pie, with the original Sex is Zero slated for a Hollywood remake. But just like the American Pie series, the sequel is not quite as fresh and funny as the original. Sure, there are enough horny boys and girls to go around, but the sequels never quite surprises us the way the original did.
Still, there is enough wacky sex jokes to amuse and entertain Fridae readers who enjoy teen sex comedies.
