The box-office success of medium-budget dance movies like Step Up and Save the Last Dance was bound to spawn imitators like this one. Oh wait � it is from the same folks of Step Up and Save The Last Dance...

Fifteen years after Jennifer Beal did it in Flashdance, Mary Elizabeth Winstead plays an ordinary girl who fails to secure a place in a prestigious dance school, but finds her "inner sexy" when she starts dancing at a bar. Just imagine plenty of sassy women snapping their fingers and saying things like, "Girl, you got to find your sexy!" and you can intuitively know the rest of the movie.

Whereas Step Up redeemed itself with superb heart-stopping choreography, Make It Happen never does, making this a mere waste of time.
