Star Wars' almost-star Hayden Christensen continues his downward spiral of bad starring roles with the B-grade thriller Awake. He plays a man who has everything � looks, brains, wealth, fame and a gorgeous girl (Jessica Alba) � everything except good health. He suffers from a weak heart, you see, and has been on the waiting list for a heart transplant for a long time.

On the night he proposes to his girlfriend and they marry, he receives news that a heart has become available. He rushes to the hospital for the transplant. But during the operation, he realises that though his body has become completely paralyzed because of the anesthetic, he can still hear the doctors talking about him.

Worse, he realises that they are planning to kill him...

What follows afterwards is a completely ridiculous storyline involving out-of-body experiences and Twilight Zone-ish type of twists. Awake is made worse by the fact that writer-director Joby Harold insists on squeezing so many improbable events within just one day of Hayden's life. There isn't much here you can believe.

Awake is seriously zzzz.....
