This year’s event is entitled “Hands in Hands in Thailand.” The theme hopes to share the celebrations with the wider community—all are welcome to help raising money to fight HIV in Phuket.
From Sunday April 24, eight days of activities including the “Hands in Hands in Thailand” photo exhibition, a gay cruise, a volleyball tournament and adventure mini golf.
Other highlights include a Cabaret Gala Dinner which includes a charity auction and a sunset beach party at Iguana Beach.
Saturday sees one of Phuket’s most charming men awarded the much coveted title of Mr Phuket Pride 2016 and the week wraps up with a grand parade through the streets of Patong on Sunday.
Over the past 4 years, PLU has raised over 1 Million Baht to help fight HIV in Phuket. 30% of the money raised has gone to the Life Home Project Foundation in Phuket, which supports children who are HIV positive.
The remainder of the money is spent working with the health community in Phuket to help the Thai LGBT communities in Patong live a healthier life.
