matches the mind-numbing headrush of any extreme sport. Seriously. You will get a kick out of it.
"I wanted to come up with the most euphoric and adrenaline laden music possible," Kurt Uenala tells ArjanWrites.com about "Dangerseekers." "No aggression but 100% positive energy." And that's exactly what he accomplished.
Kap10kurt are musician/programmer Kurt Uenala (aka k10k) and synth maven Leah. The duo was founded by Kurt who is originally from Switzerland but now lives in New York City. Kurt (who has a striking resemblance to Project Runway Season 3 winner Jeffrey Sebelia) initially started out making music with his Atari computer and 4 track cassette recorder before he got comfortable with a full studio set-up. You can still hear the Atari influence on "Dangerseekers" that includes a few subtle video game bleeps and beeps.
Kurt tells Arjan that he is a huge '80s fan, which is reflected in his music. "The '80s was when pop music was really composed and lots of time was spent
on arrangements and chord structure," he says. He lists Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark,
ELO, Depeche Mode, Kate Bush, a-ha, Howard Jones and Thomas Dolby as some of the artists that inspired him. He recently got to work with one of his idols when Dave Gahan invited him to play keyboards in his band that he put together for the "Hourglass" promo tour.
