Does Nelly Furtado have a long lost little sister who finally steps into the limelight?

Meet Neon Hitch, Amy Winehouse's former flatmate who finally got a record deal and is striking out on her own with a distinct, quircky style that is very reminiscent of the spunk Furtado delivered on her debut album. They could be sisters, but they are not related at all.

Born to a family of gypsies deep within the countryside in the south of England, Neon Hitch lived the life of a true free spirit. The young nomad spent her early years in a traveling circus with her family. A trapeze artist and fire swinger, Neon nurtured her inner performer early on in festivals throughout Portugal, Spain, France, and other parts of Europe."

"I was worried to tell people I'm a gypsy," Hits admits in a press release. "I'm not like the kind of gypsy that thieve. I'm the kind
that we live with the earth and are creative - making a living as
street performers." She consider her flatmate Winehouse an important industry confidant. "[Amy] gives me a lot of advice. She's good to me," she says.

"My Book" is a raw and no-holds bar tune that fuses reggae, pop and electro with Hitch's straight up and anecdotal storytelling. It's very Furtado-esque (before the Timbaland bombast) that is much in the vein of songs on "Whoa! Nelly." Keep your eye on Hitch. She's on to something.
