Describing his collaboration with Everett as a "big gay ballad'', the duo will team up to cover a Frank Sinatra classic They Can't Take That Away From Me.

Everett who co-starred opposite his close friend Madonna in The Next Best Thing also provided backing vocals for her number one single American Pie.

The new album Swing When You're Winning which is due out in November will also feature Nicole Kidman doing a duet with the bad boy of rock in their version of Something Stupid.

Williams said on his website that he was impressed after hearing her sing in the movie Moulin Rouge. "Nicole has a beautiful voice… I heard her sing in the movie Moulin Rouge and I asked if she would be interested, fully expecting to be knocked back - she's a proper Hollywood star! - but she said yes. I was amazed and thrilled."

The former member of the now defunct boy band Take That will perform '50s swing classics from his forthcoming album at an one night only event at London's Royal Albert Hall which will be filmed by the BBC for broadcast later this autumn. Fans in Asia will be able to catch "Rock DJ" as he tours Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, Australia and New Zealand in October and November.
