By now every ah pek, ah soh, makcik, pakcik and roti prata mamak knows who Mr Bean is. Shown repeated on TV and TVmobile, the hugely popular idiot savant has made many viewers laugh themselves silly at his crazy antics. The secret of his cross-cultural appeal lies in the fact that, like Chaplin, he doesn't say very much. He just lets the slapstick do the talking.

In this movie, Mr Bean (Rowan Atkinson) wins a free holiday in France at a church raffle. At he travels across the country, he accidentally "kidnaps" the son of a renowned Russian movie director. Now Mr Bean must find a way to reunite father and son without landing in prison...

Of course, the plot isn't important — the antics are. So if you're a fan of Mr Bean, you won't be disappointed. There are plenty of wild and crazy mishaps to keep you on your seat, or falling off it now and then.
