Am I at risk if my penis suffered a cut during a sexual encounter?
Hi, I had oral sex with a man for a brief moment in the shower. And subsequently, I ejaculated, but I thrusted on his body too hard and suffered a cut on my frenulum. I understand that the chances of getting HIV infection is rather low in this scenario. But I would just like to reconfirm this and you be advising for Post Propholaxis Treatment? Thanks!

The risk of HIV transmission through unprotected sex increases if there is contact with body fluids such as semen, vaginal fluids and blood, with the presence of sores and broken skin. Condoms, when used correctly and consistently and where there is no breakage or leakage, provide effective protection against STI and HIV.

Total crap! Such responses just spread fear and ignorance and reflect the old religious taboo against actually having a good time. Read his original posting. He said he ejaculated and thrust onto the body of his partner. Now tell me how he at risk of infection from anything except all those nasty diseases that live on the skin and in sweat (i.e. zero for HIV and very low for anything else)??? Guys all over the world are having contact with other guys' bodies.... even oral sex is very very low risk for hiv.

Not just HIV there are Hepatitis A B C D etc Herpes and more from saliva some of these have no cure so get injections for all that are available. Be safe always.
