ICAAP is the second largest HIV/AIDS forum in the world; and is a biennial gathering for the release and discussion of scientific, programmatic and policy developments in the global response to the issues of HIV/AIDS. The Co-convener of ICAAPs is the ASAP and UNAIDS. ICAAP promotes opportunities for greater regional collaboration, sharing of ideas amongst people infected and affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemics from across the Asia and the Pacific region and provides regional and national organisations, governments and individual stakeholders with space to enhance their mutual contributions in the response to HIV/AIDS.
The Congress has its distinctiveness including:
• has approximately 4,000 attendees from over 60 countries in the region
• presents more than 2,000 papers in poster, oral poster and oral paper sessions
• has a substantial scholarship programme
• runs for 5 days of programme sessions, plus opening/closing ceremonies and a range of pre- and post- Congress meetings
• convenes AIDS ambassadors and Champions and ministers meeting
• is co-sponsored by ASAP and the UNAIDS
• for Interis supported by major international donors including the Australian Agency national Development (AusAID), Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, the World Health Organisation (WHO) and exclusively supported by the RoK government including the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Korea Tourism Organisation, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, City of Busan

CALL FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS
Delegates are encouraged to submit abstracts for review and presentation. Individuals may present more than one paper and may be listed as co-authors on any number of abstracts.
Selected abstracts will appear in its full form in the Congress Abstracts Booklet and a shortened version of the abstracts that are selected will appear in the Congress Programme Booklet featuring the presenting author, title and institution of the presenting author.

Late Breaker Abstract: 1-30 June 2011
A small number of late breaker abstracts will be accepted for oral and poster presentation during the Congress. Nonetheless, the percentage of late breakers will depend on the number of submissions and the selection will be more rigorous than for regular abstract submissions. Late breaker abstracts should be limited ONLY to presentations of development in the SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH that are not yet available by the regular deadlines.
