The Swinging Riots Party (Malaysia)
Kuala's Lumpur's lesbian softball team, the first Malaysian team ever to compete in the Gay Games, will host a fundraising party with a special auction on October 4 at the city's most popular gay danceclub, Liquid.
Expect to be entertained by a politically incorrect MC, teased and surprised by the players (softball, that is) who will auction slow or lap dances, hot dates, full body massages, home cooked meals and even car washes by one of the players in a wet tshirt among other sexy offers. (Read more about the Swinging Riots on page 2)
As at 9 August 2002, 12149 people have registered from 72 countries for the Gay Games since registrations began in March 2001. Thirty-five people (including 19 men and 16 women) representing Singapore have registered while 3 men and 14 women will represent Malaysia.
Softball - the game! Sydney - the dream!
Money - the problem!

Out of their own initiative and personal expenses, they have managed to purchase softball equipment and secure a playing field for training sessions every week. When the team was formed, some of the members didn't even know which end of the bat to hold.
After two years of blood, sweat and tears, they ended up third in the Women's Selangor Softball League in 2001. But their ultimate goal is to play abroad in a big international sporting event that happens every four years, the Gay Games, this time held in Sydney.
Fortunately for the Swinging Riots this event imposes no minimum requirements on the participants like the Olympics, at the same time giving people like us an opportunity to represent our country abroad. The Swinging Riots will be the first Malaysian team ever to compete in the Gay Games. The Games is this coming November. But now, all may be lost.
Coming from different socio-economic backgrounds, not everyone can afford the journey. There aren't enough funds to send the whole team. And, without the whole, there is no team. Enter you. Yes, You. As part of the PLU community, we appeal to you to support our fund-raising campaign. Help the Riots to swing. Let's show them that Malaysia Boleh."
