Gay favourite, Six Feet Under, will be broadcasted on cable in Singapore but gay viewers will be disappointed as gay storyline will be snipped by the censorship board.
Six Feet Under, which helped openly gay director Alan Ball win an Emmy will finally premier on Singapore's HBO this Saturday - but without the gay bits.
David Fisher played by Michael Hall
According to The Straits Times report, "Singapore's vigilant censors" will snip most of David's (played by Michael C. Hall) gay storyline despite him being the uptight good son. His highly-strung mother Ruth (Frances Conroy) will however be seen having an affair with a hairdresser she met in church and his brother Nate (Peter Krause) will be seen having casual sex with a woman (Rachel Griffiths) he picks up on the plane.
If it is any consolation, the report mentioned that Six Feet Under does not suffer as much from the pruning as HBO's other acclaimed series, The Sopranos, did.
