Three men were hanged on Tuesday morning in the Iranian holy city of Mashhad for a number of offenses including "homosexual acts," reports Agence France-Presse quoting press reports and officials.
The men were convicted of abducting women and girls, rape, homosexual acts, sodomy and fornication, a judiciary official in the city told AFP, but did not name them. Another five were hanged in the same spot later in the day.
