The footage shows transgender sex workers describe a life where Police routinely arrest them and allegedly beat and sexually assault them while they are in custody.
The footage also features comments from Burmese politicians. “Burma is not like in the West. Gender issues are not important,” said Win Htein, senior aide to Aung Sun Suu Kyi.

so the lgbt sex workers are unemployed? and they work at night when there is a curfew? they get paid less as they are gay... and they get beaten and raped.
so the police enforce a curfew

its so fantastic to shirk your responsibilities. dumb when they are to yourself.
the video shows the fact that when the sex workers find other employment the problems go away.
and I'm sure Win is correct to say there are many many other issues to worry about and that human rights are taken seriously and equally.
