Police in South Korea's second largest city are concerned about clashes between pro- and anti- LGBT groups at the city's first large-scale LGBT event at Haeundae beach this weekend, according to the Korea Herald.
Some 40 LGBT and other civic groups have signed up for the beach festival, that begins at 10 a.m. A parade will take place at 4 p.m.
The Herald reports that anti-LGBT groups plan to gather at 1 p.m. in the square beside old Haueundae station and that police will guard the festival to prevent physical confrontations.
