Hong Kong LGBT Landmarks - from ban to acceptance and hosting the Gay Games!

The South China Morning Post has published a history of LGBT landmarks in Hong Kong. Homosexuality was illegal in Hong Kong between 1842 and 1991 and the first gay characters only appeared in film and on TV in the 1970s.  Also, with acceptance growing, positive and impactful developments have included property heiress Gigi Chao marrying her longtime girlfriend, singer Denise Ho coming out, and Ray Chan became Hong Kong’s first openly gay legislator.
