Officially the world’s largest gay pride celebration, the 14th Sao Paulo Brazil Gay Pride Parade calls on the public to "pay attention to the political debate on gay issues in an year where Brazilians are voting to elect the next President as well as the Senate and Congressmen."

Two gay Singaporean men will go down in history as the first gay ‘contingent’ to march at Singapore’s Chingay parade last week.

  About 2,000 people took to the streets of Mumbai on Sunday for the city's annual and second Pride parade, the first pride parade held in India after the Delhi High Court in July ruled that outlawing gay sex acts was discriminatory and a "violation of fundamental rights."  

Unnoticed and unmourned, the pride parades in Thailand have come to an end. What happened? Doug Sanders reports from Bangkok.

For the first time in its 14-year history, the generally festive atmosphere that emanates from the annual Manila Pride March was tarnished with placards and calls for "repentance" from church-based anti-gay protesters.

Into its sixth year of running, Taipei LGBT Pride Parade is making its impact felt in Asia with the largest turnout of 15,000 last year. Fridae's Taipei correspondent Jason Tan talks to the organisers of this year's parade and finds out if there would be any surprises awaiting the community.
