Parents of gay children in China are seeking ways to unite and support each other in not only understanding the sexual orientation of their children but also in coping and combating social pressures and prejudices against their loved ones.
Chinese filmmaker Fan Popo's latest documentary features six mothers from all over China who share their experiences of coming to accept their gay children as an increasing number of Chinese parents are stepping up and advocating acceptance by family members and society.
A website for Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) in Vietnam was launched this month in Ho Chi Minh City with the support of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
