A report in Malaysia's Malay Mail has revealed that an increasing number of male executives in an all-male sex syndicate have been advertising in newspapers for male clientele only.

The syndicate is noted to have placed some 40 to 50 classified ads under the 'services' in a local paper over a one-week period.

The report described that the prostitutes also commonly referred to as rent boys who used to seek out clients at discotheques and nightclubs are now using the classified sections in local newspapers that offer sex services under the guise of massage services.

"It's a convenient way of getting clients. It's not so taxing and it's safer." Said Kamil (not his real name), a 34-year-old senior middle-management executive at a leading insurance company who drives a RM120,000 (S$56,500) car and live in a upscale condominium, in an interview with the Mail.

Another rent boy, Nicky (not his real name), told the paper that he receives more than 50 calls a week. "I normally handle three clients a day. More than that could be really tiring, but I can be flexible for the right price, of course."

The price ranges from RM150 to RM250, depending on the "package" the clients, usually well off male executives in their early 20s to 30s, choose.

"A low end 'package' consists of a one-hour full-body massage but fees can increase with 'extra services' or when we make house calls," explains Kamil. Negotiations for "other services" and its corresponding fees are strictly done face-to-face.
