Glee co-creator and director Ryan Murphy became a first-time father over the holidays. On Jan 1, the 47-year-old shared the first photo of his newborn son, Logan Phineas Miller Murphy, on Twitter.
"Thanks to everyone for the kind wishes," Murphy tweeted along with a photo of his little bundle of joy. "Logan is one week old and doing great. Happy new year!"
Logan was born on Christmas Eve to Murphy and his photographer husband, David Miller. The pair married in July 2012 in Provincetown, Massachusetts.
Murphy is also known for creating/co-creating hit television series Popular and Nip/Tuck. His latest series The New Normal, a sitcom that "centers on a gay couple and the surrogate who will carry their child", is inspired by his own experiences.
Other gay celebrity parents include Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka, Ricky Martin and Carlos Gonzalez, Matt Bomer and Simon Halls, and Elton John and David Furnish who have children via surrogate mothers.
