Listen to New Panic At The Disco Single

The guys from Panic At The Disco love themselves a bit of camp.

Their debut album "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out" was filled with thickly layered musical flamboyance that was inspired by pop, rock, dance and musical theatre. Iconic artists like Freddie Mercury in particular were a huge inspiration for the group. "He had such an amazing voice, and he was so original, and so flamboyant on stage," singer Brendon Urie told ArjanWrites.com back in 2006. "He's been a huge influence on me."

But it seems the Las Vegas quintet has taken their flamboyance over the edge on their new single. Taken from their aptly-titled forthcoming new album "Pretty. Odd," the overly ambitious "Nine In The Afternoon" is all over the place. It is as if the group is just trying too hard to live up to expectations. The odd tempo shifts, Beatles-esque sounds and Urie's narration don't make up one solid, cohesive track. And if you think the song is excessive, make sure to check out its video that takes it to whole new level.
