Bolt is utterly and stupendously funny; this cartoon production by Disney animation studios which have certainly learnt a thing or two from Pixar (Finding Nemo, Wall.E) after buying the company two years ago for a staggering US$7.4b.
As they say: If you can't beat them, join them.
Bolt is the name of the puppy adopted by a young actress and gradually trained to become a superdog in action movies. But it's only a superdog on screen. In real life, it's just an ordinary canine - except it doesn't know that.
In order not to confuse the poor animal, Bolt is kept from the outside world - until one day, thinking that its owner (Miley Cyrus) had been kidnapped, it leaps out of its trailer and into the real world. Desperate to find her, it employs the help of a streetwise alley cat (Susie Essman) and a hyperactive hamster (brilliant Mark Walton). But it also finds to its own shock and surprise that it possesses none of the powers it thought it had...
Funny, fast-paced and completely adorable, almost anyone would enjoy this.
