Drillbit Taylor

Director: Steven Brill

Starring: Owen Wilson, Leslie Mann

Release: 2008-05-20

When two nerdy boys (Troy Gentile and Nate Hartley) are bullied badly at school, they decide to hire a body guard to protect them from the bigger boys. But not having enough money, they settle for a bum (Owen Wilson) who calls himself Drillbit Taylor and claims to have worked in secret ops in the military.

Drillbit really just wants their money, but he eventually grows to like them so much, he decides to go undercover as a teacher just to protect them...

Drillbit Taylor is a hopelessly unfunny comedy with a bland and somewhat annoying performance by Owen Wilson. It doesn't help that the film's two central nerds one fat, one thin, both desperate to be popular and score with girls remind us too much of last year's far more charming bullied-teen comedy, Superbad.
