Australia's favourite DJ's have donated their talents to perform free at the 2003 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Party on Saturday March 1 including in a specially designated women's space - the G Spot.

"We've been overwhelmed with the level of support shown by these DJs and we certainly didn't need to look outside the country for a great line-up," said Mardi Gras Co-Chair Michael Woodhouse.

"Right from the start they have all been keen to volunteer and help ensure we put on the kind of party that the 25th anniversary deserves. It was a challenging and exhaustive process for the Party Committee to finalise this line-up but we are confident we have struck the right balance with old Mardi Gras favourites and new DJs," Mr Woodhouse said.

DJ's performing at the 2003 Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras Party include:
� RHI - Luke Leal, Adelaide's DJ Josh, Paul Goodyear and Alex Taylor.
� Hordern - Melbourne's Tony Svehla, Mandy Rollins, Doug James, Buck Naked, DJ Chip and Mike Kelly
� City Live - Flynn Scully, Brisbane's Neroli and DJ Shigeki

New Mardi Gras will next week announce the names of the lucky up-and-coming DJ's who have been selected for an opportunity of a lifetime - the chance to play at the biggest party of the year with a special marquee set up for them to play in two hour shifts.

"If ticket sales reach 15,000 the Dome will be set aside as a chill-out space with relaxing music while the RHI will focus on uplifting commercial dance and the Hordern with hard house industrial," said New Mardi Gras Co-Chair Stevie Clayton.

"City Live will be set aside as the 'G-Spot', a space for "girrrls and their boy friends", with funky house music.

"We are also excited that Allan Parkinson, internationally recognised as Australia's leading party lighting director, has taken on the role of lighting director for the Party. Allan will oversee and design the lighting for the Hordern and RHI and his expertise will help make Saturday March 1 a night to remember," Ms Clayton said.
