Whilst Hong Kong Pride is not as big as neighbouring Taiwan’s, it is a fun event and will focus on some important issues for the LGBT+ Community.The theme for this year’s Hong Kong Pride Parade is “Call for the law, equality for all”.  The organisers make the point that to allow people of different genders and sexual orientations to live as equals in society is a global trend. Yet, Hong Kong citizens remain unprotected by its laws against sexual orientation discrimination.

The Hong Kong Pride Parade will start in the shopping area of Causeway Bay and end at Edinburgh Place, where there will be various performances and exhibition booths.  There will also be a Pride after-Party! 

Hong Kong Parties are much smaller and more intimate than those in Taipei or Bangkok and do not feature the big International DJs - but this year’s event promoting local DJs will be held at a very nice venue – Armani/ Privé - and should be a fun way to celebrate Hong Kong Pride.
