I use to think these Asian religions are not as bad as those Abrahamic ones. But now I think all religions are evil.

I'm surprised to see this kind of hate from Buddhist monk, the religion is well known for peace and acceptance but apparently not anymore.

So sad to hear of this... I agree with Lexuslexus I thought Buddism was supposed to be tolerant and based in peace. This is shameful of the monk to publically talk in this way... Why on earth do you keep harping on about your family being so totally homophobic? It's like an old record that keeps on getting stuck in the groove. Just because you are not out of the closet and just because you clearly loathe your family who would not accept you if they knew. You have clearly seen little of Asia - apart perhaps from the Philippines. You therefore put many tens of millions of Asians who happen to be gay into the same category as you. You clearly have a massive chip on your shoulder. It will be really interesting to know what countries in Asia you have visited in the last 10 - 15 years and for how long you stayed. I suggest you make a visit to Taipei taking in Saturday October 26, the date of the annual Gay Pride Parade. (Don't worry your family will not see you there!) Last year there were 140,000 marching - gay men and women, their families, a lot of children with their parents - all having a great time. This year I am certain the numbers will be well over 150,000. And that is just one city. All the major Taiwan cities have Pride Parades.

And for your information I am not "pasty white". I have lived and worked in Asia for 40 years. My skin is quite tanned - LOL!

I have not tried the phone app, but I have some staggering statistics about the membership, its general age, the dates when photos here were uploaded and major failures when you try to use many of the site's functions. This used to be one of the best social networking sites in Asia. Not any more.

Check who's on line at any time of the day or night. Then click on the country. Then find out how many are actually on line. Far fewer than the printed total.

Check on the average age of members. I checked members on line in four countries. Vietnam - 53 years. Singapore - approx. 50 years. Thailand - 46 years. Malaysia - approx 44 years. What? Can this be true? It certainly is! So where are all the younger Asians wo used to populate this site? Disappeared onto the apps which really work, I expect.

Check the Radar function. That's a joke. Fair enough, you need to be a perks member to access all profiles, but I got 20. It showed that between "0 kms" and "2.53 kms" from me were 14 members based in Thailand, 1 in Singapore, 1 in Afghanistan, 1 in The Philippines, 1 in London and 2 in China!! Given than 7 had not been online for more than 4 days, I defy anyone to prove that they were anywhere near me when I logged in.

Now check the Search function. I checked for guys from Taipei under 35 with the only condition that they did not smoke. Only 10 profiles appeared. Ten? Ten years ago the numbers would have been in the hundreds! But then only 3 of those profiles that popped up were actually under 35. One had not been online for 4 years, one for 3 years and one for 2 years. As a way to meet guys, this site is not merely out-of date, it is antediluvian.

Oops, I forgot to addd something about photos. One of the guys allegedly near me has a photo uploaded in 2002! 2002!!!!
