Several thousand people have taken part in an anti-gay demonstration in Istanbul, according to reporting by Euronews.
The marchers called for LGBTQ associations in Turkey to be closed down and displayed signs that read: "protect your family and your generation", "Say no to society without gender", and "Father + mother + baby = family".
A speaker at the event called for a ban on what they described as LGBTQ propaganda - they are seeking a ban on LGBTQ representation or topics across social media, sports, arts, and streaming services such as Netflix.
The march appears to have been held with the permission of the Turkish authorities.
