Director Eduardo Sanchez is one half of the pair that made The Blair Witch Project (which, in our books, sucked). His new film is about four friends who try to take revenge on the aliens who abducted them years ago.
After successful capturing one alien, they bring it home to torture it. But the alien has more powers than they reckoned, and they soon find themselves in a lot of trouble...
Though the premise seems original, Altered turns out to be a fairly predictable low-budget horror/sci-fi that alternates between being creepy and boring. There's a particularly gruesome scene that blood-thirsty horror fans would enjoy, but otherwise, it's quite uninspired.
