A great majority of werewolf movies seem to be cursed with mediocrity, and Skinwalkers is no different. In this movie the werewolves (or skinwalkers) are split into two factions one which controls their bloodlust and refuse to allow themselves to injure innocents, and the other which relishes the damage their monthly change can cause. A child who is coming of age is prophesised to break the impasse between the two factions, and the side which is chosen by the child will prevail in the war.
It's not a terribly original plot, but the rest of the movie is even worse. The acting is almost universally bad, the creature and special effects are exceedingly amateurish (the pre-transformation werewolves look like they done with cheap Halloween props), and thanks to its tame PG rating, there's no real gore or sex to speak of. Jason Behr still looks good so many years after Roswell, and Natissa Malthe looks very hot in her dominatrix outfits, but there's almost nothing else that's redeeming about Skinwalkers.
