Bangkok Love Story will probably draw audiences based on its friggin' hot movie poster alone. On it are two gorgeous shirtless guys, one leaning on the other holding a gun. Its plot is sexy too: A gay assassin falls for the man he's supposed to kill.

But is it a good movie? Well, that depends on whom you ask. I went with a group of gay men who were too distracted by the sight of two hot-blooded Thai guys to notice or care about the movie's merits. Director Poj Arnon certainly squeezed every opportunity to have the guys strip down to their boxers. As they walk around in nothing but undies, you could hear jaws drop to the floor.

To be honest, I was drooling too. Chaiwat Thongsaeng (who plays Stone) is one of the finest specimens of manhood (of any race). I have ever seen. But in my rare moments of lucidity, I also realized that the film verges on the ridiculous, as the two men break up and get back together, break up and get back together, break up and get back together, like a broken record.

Rattanaballang Tohssawat plays Cloud, the gay assassin who is hired to kill police informant named Stone (Chaiwat Thongsaeng). When the Cloud discovers Stone's innocence, he changes his mind about shooting him. Instead, he helps Stone hide in his rooftop abode. Cloistered away from the rest of the world, the two start to fall in love. Meanwhile, their enemies won't stop till they find the two of them, setting the film up for a final showdown...

Bangkok Love Story isn't going to win an Oscar any time soon. But Cloud and Stone or as I prefer to call them, "Clouding My Judgement" and "Stone-Hard" are undeniably haawt. They are almost hot enough to make sitting through two hours of melodrama worthwhile.

Definitely one of the Thai best gay movies. I have already fallen in love dreadfully with Rattanabanlang Thossawat.
