Rihanna "Rockstar 101"

Listen to Rihanna "Rockstar 101" (Chew Fu Teacher Pet Fixxx).

It looks like Chew Fu has made a career out of turning Rihanna into a hot, sizzling dancefloor queen with his remixes for the pop star. All of his revamps are now bundled on a very special Rihanna "Rated R" remix compilation that was released on iTunes this week. Listen to Chew Fu's latest greatest remix of Rihanna's new single "Rockstar 101" (MP3 right here). Many people and critics weren't feeling "Rated R" when it first dropped but with a strong aesthetic (courtesy of Roisin Muprhy's hubby Simon Henwood) and a strong musical point of view, I still believe this is the entertainer's best effort to day. Can't wait her to see her live show this summer.

Great remix and great time to drop a remix compilation especially since Mariah's 'Angels Advocate' collection got cancelled. Regarding the claim that "many people and critics weren't feeling "Rated R" when it first dropped", it debuted on the Billboard Album Chart at number 4, above her last album and has already gone platinum, who's not liking it?

Sure, its not as pop as 'Good Girl Gone Bad' but if she had just regurgitated another album on a formula, she would be doing Mariah who has been making copies of "The Emancipation of Mimi" for her last 2 albums and the sales of THOSE have shown: people are bored. If Rihanna had not continued pushing herself, she could very well have been languishing in her "S.O.S."-another-forgettable-young-sexy-black-girl era and we would have been deprived of the darkly crafted confection that is "Rated R".
