Some of you may remember Elodie from her club hit "Blink," her collaboration with dance producer John Stahlback that was a hit on European dancefloors back in 2007. Since then, the Swedish-American singer has been writing for other artists and collaborating with Beatport faves Manuel de la Mare and Tyler Michaud while working on music for her solo project.
Elodie was born in Sweden but grew up in the States where she graduated from the famed Berklee College of Music before she headed back to Europe. She credits much of her inspiration and artistic point of view to her transatlantic upbringing. "I always felt like an outsider, a weird girl," she told a European radio station recently to explain why she had a hard time fitting in, which ultimately drove her to dance to the beat of her own drum and make music. Anyway, I think she miss a few decades off her mark. I can hear the 80's calling for their discarded rejects.
