Are we really Living Together, or Apart? Conversations About HIV Acceptance in Singapore’s LGBT Community.
Living Together is a community movement founded on the simple premise, “we’re already living together”. Regardless of whether you are HIV negative, positive, or unknown HIV status, we already live amongst one another, a part of our shared community. HIV touches all of us, whether personally, or as friends, family and lovers, so why should we talk about "breaking down barriers" when there are none? Why seek to "decrease stigma and discrimination" when talking about them only makes them stronger?
With Living Together, we believe in the power of positivity. We are building a social movement to promote Living Together as a reality as we move forward.
Format: Speaker panel followed by open forum discussion.
Speaker Panel:
Stan Wong (Levi Strauss Foundation)
Paul Toh (Action for AIDS)
Leona Lo (Asia Pacific Transgender Network)
Tan Hui Yee (Women's Nite)
Susan Tang (Free Community Church)
Moderator: Stuart Koe (Founder & CEO, Fridae)
Join us for an evening of frank discussion and candid introspection as we reflect on what it takes for Singapore's LGBT community to truly build acceptance of HIV within our community.
*“Living Together” is inspired by a Japanese campaign of the same name.
