Legislator Raymond Chan lodged a complaint with the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) Thursday regarding a verbal assault by two women on the MTR train over his sexual orientation, according to Apple Daily.
He said the incident, which happened during his MTR in the afternoon of May 31, was like a terror attack as the two women confronted him and used foul language to insult him about his sexual orientation.
Chan said since there is no law against sexual discrimination, he could only file a complaint regarding sexual harassment. He said the EOC promised to determine if a case could be made within a month’s time.
This week also comments on the case from columnist for the South China Morning Post, Michael Chugani. Chugani argued that such 'non-violent hate talk' is not illegal and that they attack may be a pay back in kind for Chan's taunting and verbal abuse he deploys in the Legislative Council.
Chugani also noted that if we are to clear up discrimination it should be against all bigotry - including racial slurs against mainlanders and discrimination against ethnic minorities.

Let this man face firing squad like they did in Indonesia for drug people. remember..he is just an burden of this world..arrest him and try in the court of justice anywhere in this world.
How could I resist!!??
I'm only human.
I do believe the two abusive women should be brought to justice!
Just gotten a big O from a lovely lady the day before ..ain't life ironic? ;) And I don't go around verbally abusing random strangers in public transport...or anywhere, for that matter, even online. *winkwink* Aggression is a sure sign of sexual frustration. ;)
Back to topic...yes, we should never be tolerant of the intolerant. This is how bullies and the bullying 'culture' thrives, as that famous Einstein quote attests. 'The world is a dangerous place, not because of evil people, but because of good people who do nothing'
Being tolerant isn't doing nothing.
