Students Ruei-Siang Senior High School in Taiwan's Kaohsiung city hung rainbow flags outside classrooms this week to protest the cancellation of a lecture on homosexuality for first-year students.
The school suspended lectures by members of LGBT scheduled to take place on May 15, allegedly due to pressure from a parents group.
Hung Chih-ho, the convener of Kaohsiung city Parents Association, said that parents did not oppose to LGBT groups and had the rights to examine the content prior to the lecture, according to Taiwan News, and the school has said it will review the contents of the lectures.
